About Us

My name is Jonathan Heinz.  I started working on small engines and cars for my family and friends back in 2009, before I even started high school.  Ultimately, after high school, I went to Western Technical College and graduated in May of 2015 with a degree in diesel technology.  

Since then, I have primarily worked on semi trucks and diesel engines doing everything from oil changes up to electronic diagnostics.  With nearly 8 years of experience in the trucking and automotive fields, plus an additional 6 years fixing small engines and cars for family and friends before and during college, I bring nearly 14 years of experience to your repair needs.

I founded Heinz Small Engine Repair LLC in 2022 to be your one stop shop for all small engine powered equipment repair because I have found the current options in this area to be lacking and I wanted to provide personal honest service at a fair price.  

Over the years, I realized that none of the current offerings provide transparent pricing online, if they even have a website.  Heinz Small Engine Repair LLC is not the cheapest or most expensive option in the area, but in the same way that someone can walk into a restaurant and see a menu of food options plus pricing, I want to be able to provide a menu of pricing for as many services as possible so people can know what they will be paying from the moment they walk in the door.  To that end, I have a page on this website dedicated to providing transparent pricing information.  

Upon the birth of my daughter, Adara, in 2022, I also wanted to start working towards a better work/life balance.  Keep your eyes open for her in the garage if you stop by to pick up or drop off equipment with me.  She enjoys learning about the tools and repairs.
